Kostov Prayer Letter - January 2006

Dear Friends:

Every Christmas we visit the abandoned youth in the orphanages of Belogradchik and Novo selo to celebrate God’s greatest gift to mankind – His Son Jesus. Jesus loves these youth and every winter we see His mercy toward them as He provides for their basic needs in the most extraordinary ways. This year our hearts were especially thankful as Door of Hope International (Canada) and a businessman (not a believer!) from the UK provided these youth with the following items:

· the orphans in Belogradchik received new winter jackets and underwear;

· the orphans in Novo selo received new winter boots and underwear;

· the orphans in both orphanages received new blankets for their beds;

· and each home received 100 pounds of rice, beans, lentils and fresh meat for the holidays.

On the left picture you see two orphan boys, Yorgos and Bobby, helping Viktor unload our car. The young man in the picture to the right, Bisser (with hat), graduated from the orphanage in Novo selo last year and gave his life to Christ. He is now working in the town of Vidin, living on his own and has joined our ministry team to reach the orphans with the gospel of Jesus Christ! He is especially sensitive to their needs and struggles and ministers to his fellow orphans with the love of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Please remember Bisser (his name means Pearl) in your prayers.

Take a look at the orphans carrying their new blankets into the orphanage; three youth (Katya, Sergei and Ventsi) wearing their new winter jackets in Belogradchik; and Bisser as he hangs out with the youngest of the orphans during our Christmas party.

And finally, Yorgos reading his Christmas letter from Jesus and some of the younger children opening up their Christmas presents.

Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for these youth, that their hearts would open up to the Lord and that they would come to know Him as their Heavenly Father.

Love, Teresa and Viktor Kostov (Sofia-Bulgaria)
